Around 1650 he returned to Frankfurt, where he married for the second time, and where he counted Abraham Mignon, Johann Andreas Graff, Rudolf Werdmüller, and his stepdaughter Maria Sibylla Merian. In 1664 Jacob Marrell left for Utrecht again, in the company of Maria Sibylla Merian and Abraham Mignon. He ran an art dealership there. He spent his last years, from 1679, in Frankfurt.
